Start

Our trip has been exciting from the start! After a bit of craziness transferring flights in DC, we settled down in comfy premium seats. A couple minutes later, we noticed huge guys entering our flight and people were asking to take pictures of them.  Through listening to conversation and doing a little research, I discovered that they were WWE Superstars! The two I was able to identify were Ryan Orton and Mark Henry. 

We arrived in Johannesburg about 24 hours after leaving from L.A. An airport attendant greeted us as we deplaned and sped up the customs process. We were picked up by our Johannesburg guide Garth who took us to the Westcliff Hotel. There we enjoyed a relaxing massage, a delicious dinner, and a good night's rest.

In the morning we boarded a chartered flight on the smallest plane I have ever been on. Being nosy as I am, I enjoyed seeing everything the pilots were doing (including reading and eating a sandwich with the plane on autopilot). I was surprised to see that their screens looked exactly like the flight simulator game that I played on my Dad's computer when I was little.

And so my journey began...
