Our first stop in Cape Town was at table mountain. It is a besutiful flat top mountain that gives you views of the entire cape. The cable var that takes you to the top rotates and allows you to get great views everywhere. Once on top there is a hiking trail that takes you around. I did a quick walk through a small portion with the guide because my grandmother is afraid of heights and would not venture far since it was so windy. The weather down below was beautiful, but up top the wind was gusting. Because of the strong winds, they often close the mountain even when at the bottom the day seems perfect.
I would love to go back and definitely hike more around the top. I think it would be fun to hike from the bottom of the mountain up, but it is even a bigger hike than the snake trail on Masada, so it would be quite a challenging hike to endure.
